Luxury dog boarding under the care of a registered health professional with 40 years of experience looking after for dogs and trained in canine health and first aid - in a stunning detached home with a large garden offering gated access straight into countryside walks and farmland...
We only host dog(s) from one household at any one time thus ensuring an exclusive, relaxed and bespoke stay focusing attentively on your dog's preferences, needs, health and happiness. Although we have had several beautiful family dogs since the 80's, we now have no pets of our own so we love welcoming our guest dogs and treat them as if they were our own.
Situated on a lovely quiet crescent road on the top of Harnham Hill, our boarding dogs benefit from much indoor and outdoor space. They either sleep in our utility room or wherever most replicates what they are used to at home. We have plenty of open plan space as well as a very snuggly sitting room as well. Some dogs go upstairs - depending on what is normal for them at home (and the state of their paws!!!). We even have the luxury of an outside tap that is mixed with warm water purposely for dog washing for after those wonderful muddy walks in the fields behind the house!
Years of Dog Experience
Years of physiotherapy 'caring profession' experience (in humans!)
Household dog(s) at a time
We will be an inspected & licenced dog boarding establishment where you can expect your dog to be looked after by a professional trained in Canine Health & First Aid as well as OFQUAL Pet First Aid & CPCR OCN Level 3 - focused on dog first aid. Your dog is in such safe hands - especially as Marie is also a HCPC registered Chartered Physiotherapist and although not veterinary specific in her training - there are many transferable skills that benefit our four legged guests.
Our dogs love roaming around our large secure garden and we can set off on walks straight from our back gate onto the Avon Valley Path with direct access to stunning countryside walks. It's not only beautiful - it's very safe too whether your preference is on or off the lead.
We do this solely out of our love for dogs.
We welcome dogs with a genuine passion, interest, love and affection. We also consider that we have an abundance of expertise, experience and TLC ready to give... and we are not ready to go back to having our own dogs. We really miss having dogs around - when we are not hosting!
Marie is now largely managerial in her role as a 'human' HCPC registered Chartered physiotherapist - predominantly working from home and managing a team of 12 therapists at Salisbury & South Wilts Physiotherapy and Harnham Physiotherapy. Marie has been in a trusted caring role since 1999.
